As an official sponsor of NASCAR, NAPA is “currently participating in its 17th season of primary sponsorship. NAPA AUTO PARTS has visited victory lane in all three major NASCAR series – Truck, Nationwide, and Sprint Cup–amassing thirty wins, two Daytona 500 victories, and two Truck series championships.” The company is responsible as the sponsor for many wins over the many years that it has been sponsoring the NASCAR series.
Currently, Chase Eliiot, driver of the No. 9 NAPA Auto Parts, is going to be taking Jeff Gordon’s position for next year’s 2016 Sprint Cup. A week after his retirement announcement from full-time driving in NASCAR, Hendrick Motorsports announced Elliot, the youngest 2014 Xfinity Series champion, will be inheriting Gordon’s No. 24 Chevrolet. In this year’s part-time Cup schedule, Elliot will drive a No. 25 car sponsored by NAPA, who also backed his Xfinity car last year.
NAPA is also a proud sponsor of the NHRA Drag Racing, acting as the primary sponsor of the NAPA Dodge Charger RT Funny Car driven by Ron Caps and owned by the Don Schumacher Racing Team (one of the elite NHRA teams). NAPA’s presence will be seen at all NHRA Full Throttle race events and looks forward to hosting the event winner’s trophy.
If you don’t know what NHRA is, it was a creation of Wally Parks’ initiative to get racing off the city streets and highways, into safer organized venues. NHRA fans have the best access to behind-the-scenes action on the racing, and you can always find the drivers signing autographs and talking to fans. Being all about diversity, NHRA has more than 20 categories of competition, thriving on unique competitors accomplishing unique achievements. It is second only to NASCAR in terms of attendance, fan appeal, and sponsorship commitment, quickly moving into mainstream America.
NAPA continues as the official sponsor of the Mexican National Soccer Team, and was their official sponsor for the 2014 tour through the US. The team has found stability under their current head coach Miguel Herrera, and with that, there are big expectations for the team this year. For the men’s senior team, they hope to win the 2015 CONACAF Gold Cup, qualify for 2017 Confederations Cup, and seek to reach the semifinals of South America’s regional championship. It’s a big year to be supporting the Mexican National Soccer Team after their participation in the World Cup in 2014.
NAPA sponsors a wide range of things, but most interestingly in our opinion, they sponsor the TV show “Buckmasters.” Like hunting? Then “Buckmasters” provides heart-pounding hunts for jaw-dropping wildlife in fast n’ furious hunts you’ll never forget. “The Jackie Bushman Show” celebrates its 10th year, which also features intense hunting footage in North America, mixed in with humor and lighthearted scenes.The other show is “Trophy Quest” which travels the world hunting big game.
